Plito
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Plito ("Plito", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects
information when you use our website, sign in to your account, and use our AI receptionist
services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
-
Demo & contact requests. When you submit a form we collect the details
you provide — typically your name, email, business name, phone number, trade, and any
message.
-
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email
address and a password, which we store only as a salted, irreversible hash (we never store
your password in plain text).
-
Google sign-in. If you choose "Continue with Google", Google sends us the
basic profile information you approve — your name, email address, and your Google account
identifier. We use this only to create and secure your Plito account. We never receive your
Google password, and we request only the minimal sign-in (OpenID) scopes.
-
Your business profile. Information you enter to configure your AI
receptionist — such as your business name, phone number, and the free-text instructions you
want the AI to follow.
-
Usage & device data. Standard analytics such as pages visited, referring
source, and device/browser type, used to improve the site and measure advertising.
-
Local storage. After you sign in we store a session token in your browser's
local storage so you stay logged in. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.
How we use your information
- To respond to your demo request and communicate with you about the Services.
- To create, authenticate and secure your account (including Google sign-in).
- To operate your AI receptionist using the business profile and instructions you provide.
- To measure and improve our website and marketing, including Google Ads conversion tracking.
- To protect against fraud, abuse and security incidents, and to meet legal obligations.
Google user data & Limited Use
Plito's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google account data solely to provide and
improve user-facing sign-in features, do not sell it, do not use it for advertising, and do not
share it with third parties except as needed to provide the Services, for security, or to
comply with the law.
Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies (which may include Google Analytics and Google Ads
tags) to understand traffic and measure ad performance. You can control cookies through your
browser settings.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that
power Plito and only as needed to deliver the Services — for example our cloud hosting,
telephony provider, AI/voice provider, email delivery, and analytics providers. They are
permitted to use the data only to provide services to us.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the
Services, then delete or anonymize it unless we must retain it to meet legal, accounting or
security obligations.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including
encrypted transport (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is
100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your rights & choices
-
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including
deleting your account — by emailing
[email protected].
-
You can revoke Plito's access to your Google account at any time from your
Google Account permissions page.
Children
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and,
for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
